Profile

Currently, I am an Assistant Professor with the Department of Japanese Philosophy at Kyoto University’s Graduate School of Letters. Until March 2019, I was a lecturer at the Research Institute for Japanese Studies (RIJS) at Kanda University of International Studies (KUIS) in Chiba, Japan. Before, I taught in Romania for 10 years, at the Japanese Language Department of the University of Bucharest. I came to Japan in 2011 for a research project at Waseda University, and stayed. I arrived at KUIS in 2015, after teaching part-time at several universities in the Kantō area.

Since 2019, I also serve as vice president of the European Network of Japanese Philosophy (ENOJP). My online academic profile can be found here and my CV here.

I (will) write mostly about things that I’m passionate about: philosophy, education, and literature.
